About

Hello and welcome to Money Basics PH, just call me Marco Rufer, the man behind this blog. I'm a budding entrepreneur and currently managing a frozen goods store in Polo Public Market in Valenzuela City. My business is operating for eight years as of writing this post (we started on October 24 2012) and everyday is a fight for survival to stay profitable.

When I'm not busy at the market, I indulge myself in Philippines Stock Market, trading securities and continuously learning how the market moves. I started my journey to stock market on March 13 2018 with only 50,000 startup capital, expecting to easily double my money in less than a year. But the market taught me a valuable lesson as a starting gift. I experienced losses after losses amounting to more than 19,600! That's almost 40% of my capital!

The failures taught me so much, humbles me down to my feet. I learned how to be respectful of the market and create my own strategies in order to be profitable.

As of now, I already gained 16% and still learning. I will share my trading journey in this blog so you guys can learn from my failures.

My goal for starting Money Basics PH is to help in spreading the importance of proper money management and provide detailed but easy to digest information to millions of Filipino people across the globe.
